From the Foundation's Framingham Union Grants Panel (benefiting the Framingham community) -

Framingham Public Schools
To train school personnel in recognizing the signs of substance use and abuse and the appropriate responses and to provide case management in assisting students and their families in accessing services.

Framingham Public Schools
Renewal of previously funded project to provide a health education and wellness program during the summer months for at-risk children to promote healthy behaviors and reduce health risks.

Resiliency for Life Program
Program to engage high-risk students in a learning and community environment. Funds will be used to enhance the health component of the program including psychological sources, substance abuse counseling, and violence prevention

Collaborators include the MetroWest Medical Center - Department of Behavioral Medicine, Natick Visiting Nurse Association, Natick and Framingham Councils on Aging, and Jewish Family Service of Metrowest.

Blackstone Valley Vocational Regional School District/Valley Technical School
To plan and design a model nutrition and fitness program that will address the health and wellness needs of Valley Tech teens from Bellingham, Hopedale, Mendon, and Milford. Collaborators include the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital School-Based Health Clinic, Physical Therapy Innovations (Milford), and Bread & Circus Whole Foods (Bellingham).
