Helpful tips for preparing a proposal to the Foundation.

Do:

  • Submit a brief two-page concept paper
  • Remember that we are a health foundation
  • Tailor your request to our interests and guidelines
  • Answer all questions and include all required information
  • Use clear, concise language
  • Make sure the budget figures add up and the budget narrative fully explains the figures
  • Have someone else read your proposal before submitting

Don't:

  • Send a list of project ideas and ask us to pick the best one
  • Include jargon or assume we know as much about the project as you do
  • Use vague language or make bold statements not supported by data
  • Ask for more money than you need
  • Ask for an extension or submit your proposal late
