Kids Running   Mission

To improve the health status of the community, its individuals, and families through informed and innovative leadership.

Guiding Principles
  • The Foundation will primarily focus on the unmet health needs of the community with particular concern for vulnerable populations of the poor, elderly, and children.

  • The MetroWest region includes 25 towns in the MetroWest area of Massachusetts.

  • The Foundation will support programs that are not customarily operated by hospitals in Massachusetts and will not duplicate or support programs that are, have been, or should be offered by MetroWest Medical Center.

  • The Foundation will focus on the enhancement and expansion of community health rather than supplanting ongoing government services.

  • The Foundation will make grants to not-for-profit and government organizations to support eligible programs.

  • The Foundation may develop and operate its own programs.

  • The Foundation will be accountable to the public interest and committed to ongoing involvement and communications with its constituencies.
